March 1630 - Day 55-57

Martti is back! The journey back from White Cross Fire Borough took a fair bit of time, so spring is soon coming to CryptoTown.

The dragon quest was a memorable experience. Two high nobles had an objective related to the dragon, and Martti was aiding them. Not only that, a full company of soldiers was dispatched. The intelligence reports had confirmed that a dragon's lair was in a cave in the mountain.

When the troops assembled next to it, there was no action inside. First a herd of pigs was sent in to check the things out, and they disappeared without a trace. Then Martti spotted some smoke rising from another opening to the mountain and the Prince Noms of White Cross set to investigate the matter personally. When he had just reached the entrance, the DRAGON rose from it with terrifying rage.

Being alone and so close to the beast with unknown abilities, the Prince changed strategy and offered peace, even alliance. The dragon also spoke in human tongue and was content to have a further negotiation at a later time with no company of soldiers present. That was a ploy from the dragon side, however, since after the withdrawal from the scene, no sightings have happened and when the cave was carefully probed, it was empty, no treasure could be found.

So now it's time to come back to homebase to see that not only was the salary cut, but also it has not been paid for 2 years [gamemaster promises to correct the situation asap]. Markets are totally different than when he left, and the B-22 conversion started with Martti having 9 shares.

Because of the haste, Martti still does not have time to properly evaluate what he should be doing next, but hey, perhaps that is part of the age! Martti has a few items that are merchandise but are difficult to sell. Other items he is not so motivated in dealing with anymore, because his wealth has grown larger and something that can yield 0.1 mil does not interest anymore.

The conditional commands were disabled due to technical challenges so even those are not working. The big decision is now whether to convert the B-22 shares to a lot, or sell them. Conversion causes the liquid funds to fall uncomfortably low. So that is the right thing to do ;)
